National YaR Campaign
Introduction
The “Uphold our HOPES – Unfold our DREAMS” campaign, guided by the hashtags
#DreamsForEveryChild and #HopeInEveryChild, emphasizes the collective responsibility of society to
nurture, protect, and empower children and young at risk (YaR). It calls on communities, partners, and
stakeholders to come together in building a future rooted in hope and amplify the dignity of dreams,
through collaboration and compassion.
Problem Statement
UNICEF estimates 30 million children in India are orphaned, abandoned, or surrendered, facing
poverty, stigma, and exploitation, with limited access to care, education, and opportunity.1 Despite
various interventions, these children continue to face systemic neglect, social exclusion, and inadequate
support structures. Lack of family-based care, and insufficient community involvement often hinder
their holistic development. There is an urgent need to integrate inclusive ministry and collaborative
partnerships within communities to restore dignity, hope, and opportunities for every child.
Significance of the Campaign
The campaign “Uphold our HOPES – Unfold our DREAMS” is grounded in the belief that every
child’s dream matters, and that nurturing hope begins with creating inclusive and responsive
communities. A community-based approach, strengthened by collaborative ministry, offers a
sustainable way to protect, support, and uplift YaR children. The campaign will offer to our young
people the following:
Empower community-based models of care
Promote partnership with stakeholders to form and transform their hopes and dreams
Enable our Young people to express their dreams and participate in their own development
Goal and Objectives

To promote a culture of hope, dignity, and empowerment for children and youth at risk through
inclusive, community-based collaboration.

Methodology
The campaign will employ a multi-faceted approach to deliver its message effectively.
1. Conduct community dialogues and workshops: Organize sessions with families, educators,
local leaders, and faith-based groups to raise awareness on child protection and the importance
of community and family-based care.

express their hopes and dreams through art, storytelling, theatre, and media; use tools like
“Dream Walls” or exhibitions to amplify their voices.
3. Digital & Media Campaigns: Run digital and media campaigns using videos, posters, and
hashtags to engage the public and spread the campaign message, using campaign hashtags:
#DreamsForEveryChild, #HopeInEveryChild
4. Collaboration with Schools, Parishes & Local Bodies: Engage institutions and local
stakeholders to integrate the campaign into events, education programs, and outreach
initiatives.
5. Build capacity of YaR partners and volunteers: Conduct trainings, workshops, and sharing
opportunities to strengthen the skills of those working directly with children and young at risk.
Expected Impact
1. Enhanced community awareness and participation in child protection.
2. Strengthened partnerships and inclusive practices in YaR ministry.
3. Increased visibility and empowerment of children’s voices and aspirations.
