"FAMILY is where I BELONG"

The YaR campaign has been at the forefront of child protection and welfare initiatives across India since 2017. Through our annual national campaigns, we have consistently addressed crucial issues affecting young at risk children, creating waves of positive change across 11 provinces.

Our campaigns have evolved thoughtfully over the years, each addressing critical aspects of child welfare. The timeline of the campaign is reflected in the table below.

For our 8th national campaign, we’re focusing on a fundamental truth: every child deserves a safe, nurturing family environment. The campaign “FAMILY is Where I BELONG” launched on National YaR Day (August 31, 2024) with hash tags #KeepMeSafe and #MyFamilyMyRight, aims to promote family-based care and community support for children at risk in India.

The 2024-25 “FAMILY is Where I BELONG” campaign features a meticulously planned monthly release of educational and engaging content. At its core are twelve comprehensive flipbooks, each crafted through collaborative efforts between our national office and provincial teams. These flipbooks serve as valuable resources for children, caregivers, and child welfare professionals across India.

“FAMILY is Where I BELONG” will be implemented by 11 province partners. Through a dynamic blend of dance performances, theatrical presentations, engaging puppet shows, musical renditions, artistic workshops, and diverse educational activities, our message of family-centered care will reach communities far and wide. These creative interventions are designed to effectively communicate the importance of family bonds and safe spaces for children, making the campaign’s message both accessible and impactful across varied cultural contexts.

As we progress through this transformative year, our campaign’s impact will be rigorously monitored through a comprehensive reporting framework spanning all 11 provinces. This innovative tracking system goes beyond mere numbers – it captures the heart of our mission by documenting successful interventions, identifying challenge areas, and measuring real change in children’s lives.
