Borivali: The Annual Thanksgiving Day 2017 – 2018 of Bosco Boys Home (BBH) was held on 24th February 2018 in the Don Bosco School hall. The Chief Guest for the evening was Fr. Lancy Silva, the Parish priest of St. Louis Parish, Dahisar. The programme began with lighting of the lamp followed by a graceful prayer dance. The rector of BBH, Fr. Solomon Rapol welcomed the gathering while sharing a message, “Let us learn to deal situations with love, kindness, and generosity.” The scouts performed an energetic drill consisting ten formations.
Keeping in mind the present situation of environmental pollution, our technical students and Bosco Boys presented a skit communicating the message – ‘Save the environment’. Thereafter, Fr. Solomon felicitated our Chief Guest and a few other guests.
The Chief Guest Fr. Lancy thanked the management for inviting him for the annual day programme. He was captivated by scouts performance. He said, “I was amazed at the way the boy standing at the apex of the formation, fell back unhesitant, trusting the boys completely who were there to hold him.” A display of cultural dances; Koli from Maharashtra, Kunbi from Goa and Garba from Gujarati by the children of BBH and students of technical institute followed the Chief Guest’s speech. A precise report of the activities and courses offered at Bosco Boys Home was then presented by Alan D’silva.
